Fred Bare named Sussex County Firefighters Fireman of the Year

At the Feb. Mtg. Fred Bare of Gumboro was named Sussex County Firefighter of the Year. Mr. Bare moved to Gumboro after serving twenty years with the Willards, MD Fire Dept, just across the Del/MD Line.

He joined in 1986 and immediately had a passion for Fire Police Activities. He was elected President of the County Fire Police in 1999, the State Fire Police in 2002 and was Delaware's Fire Policeman of the Year in 2003.
