County Association Has a Busy June Meeting The June Meeting of the Sussex County Firefighters Association took place on June 28th in Bridgeville. Several items were addressed at the monthly meeting. Chaplain Charlie Arnold conducted the annual Memorial Service for those members who had passed away in 2010. The following members were honored: Earl Leo Schott - Lewes William Stevenson III – Lewes Ransford Bryan Pepper – Lewes Chester Harrison – Ellendale Charles Kreigh – Ellendale James Reardon, Jr. – Millville Mervyn Doc Carey – Bethany Beach Dick Deramis – Bethany Beach William “Davey” Davis – Seaford Gerald Evans – Selbyville Dwight Taylor – Millsboro Gerald Jones – Greenwood Donald “Duck” Shutie – Millsboro Donald Hitchens – Selbyville James “Tee” Norwood – Indian River Ronnie Russell – Rehoboth Beach Also, updates were given on Legislative Activity occurring in Dover. A resolution was presented to Richard Ward marking his retirement from the Fire Marshal’s Office after 32 years of service. A presentation was given to the Blades Vol. Fire Co. recognizing them for the unselfish donation of their 1985 Pierce Engine to the Hackleburg Fire Company in Alabama whose Fire Company was destroyed by recent tornados
