Delaware Vol. Firefighters Assoc. Announces Winners of Annual Fire Prevention Poster & Essay Contest On January 14th the Delaware Vol. Firefighters Assoc. held it’s annual Fire Prevention Poster & Essay Contest Awards Program. This year the event was hosted by the Cheswold Fire Company. Students, kindergarten through 3rd grade, prepared Posters regarding their assigned Fire Prevention Topic. Students 4th grades through 8th grade prepared essays. These were judged at the local and county levels. The first place winners from each county then competed with the winners being honored at the event. We would like to thank Delaware Lt. Governor Bethany Hall Long for her support and attendance at the event.
